Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Business Analysis leads a high-impact team responsible for contract financial execution, project financial integrity, and revenue recognition across a dynamic project portfolio. The Sr. Manager partners closely with Operations, Finance, and Business Development to ensure accurate financial performance, accelerate revenue conversion, and improve cash flow. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection of finance and operations, with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes, improving processes, and scaling systems in a growth-oriented environment.

On-Site Expectations

  • Hybrid role with 1-2 times per month expected on-site.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities

Financial Ownership & Revenue Performance

  • Own financial oversight of project portfolios, including revenue recognition, margin performance, and cash flow optimization.
  • Monitor work-in-process (WIP) and ensure timely and accurate invoicing aligned with contractual terms.
  • Manage complex or high-risk budgets, including customer escalations and contractual challenges.
  • Ensure alignment between Project Management, Operations, and Finance to optimize revenue capture.

Close, Controls & Financial Integrity

  • Oversee monthly close processes, project reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure integrity of CRM and ERP data supporting project financials and billing.
  • Drive adherence to GAAP and internal financial policies.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate across Contracts & Proposals, Operations, Finance, and Business Development.
  • Support internal and external financial data requests with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Represent Business Analysis in cross-functional initiatives and business reviews.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives to increase scalability and efficiency.
  • Support ERP and CRM system enhancements and implementations.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive operational and financial visibility.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and mentor team members while fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, cGMP standards, and training requirements.

Strategic & Ad Hoc Support

  • Lead special projects, financial analysis, and executive-level reporting.
  • Identify performance gaps and drive initiatives to improve profitability and predictability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial operations, project finance, or related fields (pharma/CDMO preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 20% travel required.
