Job Summary

The Supervisor, Warehouse provides leadership to the Materials Control team and is accountable for the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of raw materials, intermediate or finished drugs or drug products and components, including hazardous materials. The Supervisor reviews shipping documentation, coordinates logistics, and manages real-time inventory accounts within the electronic inventory system. The Supervisor determines work assignments and communicates expected deliverables and timelines, leads investigations, and provides troubleshooting support when applicable.

  • 100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of materials.
  • Reviews documentation, coordinates logistics, and manages real-time inventory in the electronic inventory system.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy and control of materials and warehouse.
  • Conducts periodic cycle counts and end-of-year physical inventory per standards.
  • Coordinates logistics and shipping/courier services per client specifications or company standards.
  • Creates and manages department schedule based on business needs.
  • Oversees workflow and productivity of staff.
  • Leads warehouse supply chain related internal investigations.
  • Works cross functionally to resolve open internal investigation issues and ensures effective communication with clients.
  • Communicates effectively with vendors to ensure timely and adequate supply of materials.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues within the department.
  • Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.
  • Attracts, develops, and retains a high performing team to meet the current and evolving needs of the business through effective selection, training and development, coaching and mentoring, and performance management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related cGMP warehouse experience required; 5-8 years preferred.
  • Prior pharmaceutical or CDMO experience preferred.
  • Prior hazardous materials management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of cGMP, finished goods inspection, hazardous materials, inventory management, and manufacturing required.
  • Knowledge of reviewing batch records, CAPA, pharmaceuticals, and investigations/event reporting preferred.
  • Awareness of Lean Manufacturing and 5S preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and ability to train others required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
  • Good basic computing skills required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 5% domestic travel.

The employee must have distance vision, close vision, ability to adjust focus to bring objects into sharp focus and peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment for specific job duties to be performed. Such personal protective equipment may include, but not limited to safety eyewear, hearing protection, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, full protective body coverings, various types of gloves, etc. Other tasks involving elevated work may require the use of a body harness and lanyard. Additionally, the employee may be required to operate an industrial vehicle.
