Job Summary

The Calibration Field Technician II is proficient in multiple disciplines at customer sites and is able to work independently. The Calibration Field Technician II will set up equipment, perform calibration on various instruments including, but not limited to, temperature, relative humidity, CO2, voltage, pressure, time, rotation, mass, etc. following documented procedures using precision standards. Calibration and preventive maintenance will be performed in-house or off-site based on business needs.

On-Site Expectations

  • 100% on-site position with 90% traveling to customer sites. 
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
  • This position is for day shift but may require occasional off shift and/or weekend coverage to accommodate schedules and/or project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on calibration projects.
  • Perform equipment and instrumentation calibration.
  • Proficient in specific calibration procedures.
  • Understand interval and tolerance relating to calibration.
  • Update the calibration database/equipment history.
  • Report questionable calibration results to supervisor for evaluation and determination.
  • Abide by ISO 17025 principles.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, Military, Technical School or Associate’s Degree.
  • 1-3 years’ industry experience in calibration.
  • Experience with HPLC troubleshooting and repair is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Form Docs.

Travel Expectations

  • Offsite local travel is required weekly. Overnight travel required several times a month.

Your vision requirements will include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. You will regularly work in a lab and office environment, occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, be at risk of electrical shock and vibration. This position works with a moderate noise level.
