Job Summary

The Sr. Reporting and Analytics Analyst is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI capabilities across platforms such as SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. This role is accountable for helping develop, deploy, and maintain SAP applications. This role is expected to help deliver accurate, scalable, and insight-driven solutions to support business decision-making. This position owns the end-to-end lifecycle of BI and AI applications — from data integration and modeling to visualization and automation and ensures alignment with organizational goals, data governance standards, and evolving technology trends. In addition, this role is responsible for enabling AI adoption by operationalizing use cases through machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics to create meaningful impact across business functions. The Senior Applications Specialist will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing our pharmaceutical monitoring systems. The successful candidate will manage system installations, data analysis, and reporting with the end goal to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain advanced dashboards, KPIs, and predictive reports using SAP SAC, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Development and maintaining SAP ABAP Programs.
  • Design, development, and deploying applications and extensions on SAP BTP.
  • Develop a strategy and execute on delivery of automation opportunities within the business.
  • Leverage AI/ML frameworks to enable forecasting, anomaly detection, and intelligent recommendations across business functions.
  • Integrate Azure ML, Fabric Notebooks, and Python-based models into enterprise reporting workflows for enhanced automation and insights.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify AI use cases, define success metrics, and implement solutions that deliver measurable impact.
  • Ensure scalable and secure data integration from SAP S/4HANA, CDS views, SAP BW, and other sources.
  • Work with IT leadership and team members to develop and establish governance, performance tuning, and DevOps practices across all reporting and AI tools.
  • Utilize Agile project management standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business Intelligence and analytics.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing.
  • Agile project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong experience in Python, SQL, and DAX, with hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML models.
  • Strong experience in SAP ABAP development
  • Strong SAP BTP experience
  • Proven experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Lakehouse, and Azure ML.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional analytics and AI projects from concept to deployment.
  • Proven experience with deploying AI solutions such as demand forecasting, customer segmentation, or intelligent alerting within enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of NLP, generative AI, or LLMs (Large Language Models) in reporting or knowledge management contexts.
  • Experience with automated insights, explainable AI, or AI-driven visual analytics.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 20% travel expected excluding training which will require travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The employee may be required to gain access to lab, manufacturing or clinical areas for inspections or work discussions. The employee is required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment to perform the job duties. Such personal protective equipment may include but is not limited to safety eyewear, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, gloves, etc.
